SIGNATURE OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE HIGH AUTHORITY FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE AND THE AUDIT FIRM BDO SA

On Wednesday, November 14, 2018, the High Authority for Good Governance (HABG) signed an agreement on the conduct of an organizational and functional audit of the Institution. This signing ceremony took place between the President of HABG N'Golo Coulibaly and all its management team, including the members of the Board, its cabinet, its Directors and the international firm BDO SA, represented by its Managing Director, Mr Hady DRAME and his delegation.

In his welcome address, Mr N'golo COULIBALY congratulated BDO SA on winning the call for expressions of interest, for its strictness, quality and reputation, but above all, he explained the need and urgency to orient human resources towards an undeniable quality of work: "the High Authority for Good Governance must become a reference institution, and for this purpose, weaknesses must be clearly identified and effectively corrected, and as soon as possible". This involvement of the President of HABG shows his determination to provide himself with all the measures necessary to strengthen the capacities of his collaborators in order to succeed in his mission. In his opinion, the fight against corruption in Côte d'Ivoire is a major expectation for Ivorians, and his Institution must rise to the challenge. And the President added: "I want to take advantage of my time at the High Authority for Good Governance to make it a reference institution that reflects Côte d'Ivoire's reputation both in West Africa and in the world". This is the reason why Mr. N'Golo COULIBALY has a clear and stated desire to recruit a quality firm.

In thanking the President of HABG and his staff for their professional and meticulous conduct of this expression of interest notice, the Managing Director of BDO SA said he was honoured by the choice made for its structure. He did not fail to point out that BDO is the 5th international audit and advisory network and reassured the HABG of its availability. For Mr. Hady DRAME, this mission will allow him to take a rigorous look at the functioning of the HABG and make recommendations. "We have the experience of the process and you have the expertise of the profession, so it is together that we must carry out this mission," he added.

It should be reminded that it was within the framework of the 2018 Annual Work Plan that it was decided to carry out an external audit of the organisational framework and functioning of the HABG.

This audit mission will consist in making an inventory of human resources in terms of recruitment, profiles, assignment and remuneration, making an in-depth diagnosis of the current organisational framework of the HABG and proposing, where appropriate, a framework consistent with its missions, analysing the functioning of the various bodies of the HABG and making some recommendations to improve its performance.
