  • Information System Governance

Information System Governance

The transition from an IT system used exclusively to streamline flows and procedures to an information system supporting the strategy will not be possible without the establishment of a specific analytical framework and an appropriate organisational structure ensuring optimal decision-making.

Faced with this major challenge, the services we have developed tend to reduce IT costs and produce value while guaranteeing the quality of the services rendered.

To accompany you in your success, we have defined an offer of services designed to :

  • Audit of the information system
  • Master plan
  • IT transformation plan

Audit of the information system

An audit provides an objective view of how IT supports your business and operational processes. Thanks to the quality of our team (CISA certified auditors), we provide information systems audit skills to support general, financial and IT management, as well as internal and external non-specialised auditors, thus enabling diagnostics to be carried out on information systems, associated organisational procedures and major projects.

These targeted IS audits can make it possible in particular to:

Validate the consistency and relevance of your information system in relation to your business needs,

Identify and correct any weaknesses in your information system,

Check the conformity of your information system to the requirements of your activity,

Assist financial auditors in the efficient implementation of their audit approach and contribute to improved audit productivity,

Assist company appraisers during sale or purchase mandates on the part relating to information systems,

Etc.

The main IT perimeters that are studied during these missions are:

  • Governance of the information system
  • Security
  • Infrastructure and IT production
  • Computer systems and applications
  • User support and fleet management
  • Design and Project Management Function (PMO)

Whether they concern the physical, IT or application infrastructure, our services will make it possible to determine the level of compliance of the audit object in relation to a normative reference frame (CoBIT, and ITIL), to qualify an expression of IS need for the audited object and to formulate recommendations for correction or improvement, always following a cost/benefit analysis.

Master plan

The master plan is a strategic plan designed to drive the development of information technology in the company. Its objectives can be multiple, defined in a limited number of projects such as reducing IT costs, multi-site deployment, supporting the launch of strategic projects for the company, implementing governance, creating management indicators, urbanizing the information system, creating a process approach, modernizing the infrastructure, etc.

BDO SA Côte d'Ivoire's concern in this field is to provide you with an IS master plan which is intended to define:

A target service offering with a projection of several years;

The trajectories for making these services available;

An estimate of the resources needed to carry out this transformation;

The organisational and operational frameworks enable it to be managed in the best possible way.

We thus apply to the Master Plan the best practices in terms of project management by calling on the main contributors of the company concerned: CEO, CIO, technical teams, key users, etc.

Our approach is progressive, led by a multidisciplinary team with complementary expertise. It guarantees control of the entire perimeter of the Master Plan.
